2008 Smart Car with double horsepower?

I may be buying a 2008 Smart Car, and I was told they double the horsepower this year. Is that true?

    No, there is no increase in HP in the Smart Car (smart fortwo).
    However there are after market products that improve the performance of the smart fortwo.
